Mayfaire in March: Saying Hello and Goodbye to Beloved Stores

At the edge of the winter season, the task of spring cleaning is creeping onto our dirty doorsteps. It’s time to get rid of the old and bring in the new. Refreshing our closets with new clothes, and brightening up our lives with a few new accessories and experiences is a fun, exciting way to help put the pep in your step this spring. If you're looking for a fun place to shop in the approaching warm weather, the local favorite, Mayfaire outdoor shopping center, is the perfect place to spend the day. To help you know what to expect during your next shopping experience, here’s the scoop on what’s new, what’s coming, and what stores we’re saying goodbye to after so many years.

As of February 20, 2025, the popular women’s clothing brand, Aerie, opened its doors in Mayfaire. Popular for its loungewear, pajamas, and athleisure, Aerie is definitely an exciting place to visit during your spring shopping adventure. A sub-brand of American Eagle, the store carries quality items within a decent price range, and puts an emphasis on comfort and being yourself. The store has an exciting atmosphere filled with color, unique greenery decor, and of course, the comfy clothes. 

Coming soon to Mayfaire in 2025 is Kendra Scott and Dave & Buster’s. Kendra Scott is a favorite jewelry, decor, and high quality beauty brand. Wilmington excitedly awaits its arrival this spring. Dave and Buster’s is a massive addition to the plethora of experiences offered at Mayfaire. Enjoying a meal while watching your favorite sports game, along with their selection of 160 new games will make for an exciting and fun night out with your family. You can also host your private event or birthday party in one of their private rooms equipped with large projector screens and speaker systems. 

But with the coming of new shops, we must say our farewells to others. The Edward’s Hallmark shop, after 21 successful years, will see its last customers on Saturday, March 22. Though the journey may be bittersweet, the store will be holding major final sales until the day of closing. They offer a variety of unique home decor, accessories, and of course, their famous collection of cards. From greeting cards, to beautiful hand-crafted pop up cards, they’ve got it all. Stop by to shop and say your farewells to Edward’s Hallmark this coming week.
