The newest hit song that everyone seems to be in love with is drivers license by Olivia Rodrigo. This is Olivia's first single, and it has come with so much praise.
The song was released on January 8th, and in a matter of 10 days had hit 100 million streams on Spotify. On Youtube, the song’s music video has 42 million views, and has been at the top of the website’s trending page all week. It is at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 Chart this week, beating artists such as Taylor Swift for the number one spot.
Many people have speculated that the song is about Rodrigo’s rumored ex-boyfriend Joshua Bassett and their breakup. Even though this song could have nothing to do with you personally, it seems to be everyone's new breakup song. As a trend on TikTok, the new hashtag “#driverslicense” has 1.7 billion tags, and the audio from the song has 292.3 thousand uses.
For Olivia’s first single having this much praise I for one cannot wait to see what her career as a musician holds in store. I give this song a 10/10, and I believe that everyone needs to go listen to drivers license.
