This school year, fashion is defined by an effortless but intentional look. The goal? Outfits that are uncomplicated to assemble, but look completely put together.

At Hoggard High School, certain brands are consistently cute. Free People Movement, Lululemon, and Brandy Melville have become go-to labels to style the ‘It Girl’ look. These brands are known for their flattering fit and easy-to-style basics. The big idea: fast fashion is out and quality clothes are a necessary investment for every closet.

There are some must have pieces for this coming fall: matching sets, jean skirts, tennis dresses, and the perfect pair of jeans. It's all about building a wardrobe with items you can mix and match. Shoes brands seen walking around the halls are Golden Goose, New Balance, and Oncloud. They are pairable with any look. On days when you want to dress it up, some perfect brands are Anthropology, Zara, and Ralph Lauren. All of these designers create collections filled with easy to put together outfits.

Don’t forget, accessories complete an OOTD. Most importantly, a backpack that goes with every one of your outfits. Vera Bradley, Lululemon, and Northface are the labels on everyone's back this year. Dominating jewelry brands are Kendra Scott and Evry Jewels. Both carry affordable and quality pieces that will last throughout the years.

But where did these styles come from? Many influential icons are the epitome of this look. For example, Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy from the 90’s. She exemplified the timeless and effortless style. As well as Hailey Bieber—a current fashion inspiration— who is the staple of the ‘Clean Girl Look’.

Ultimately, this year’s trends revolve around looking classic, coordinated, and chic. It's all about perfecting your individual look and personalizing these fashion fads to look great on you! But more than just these shopping recommendations, there are two key things you need to be in style: intentionality and confidence.
